Loving Our Neighbor.
A spontaneous trip to the Poland/Ukraine Border in a van loaded with supplies has turned into our mission. At the beginning of March, a House Church leader took this trip and came back with Ukrainian refugees who have family in Portugal. His heart was broken for the women and children stranded by war. There is so much pain and desperation. Because of this, House Church has made it our mission to specifically love these neighbors of ours.
“For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’”

Ongoing Trips.
We desire to be the hands and feet of Jesus to so many who have lost hope. This means that we load up vans with supplies bought in Portugal (supplies that are difficult or impossible to come by in Poland/Ukraine), and we deliver them to the Poland/Ukraine border where they are distributed to refugees who are crossing or they are sent into Ukraine. After that, we make our way to refugee centers in Poland. We load our vans back up with Ukrainians, transporting them to their families throughout Europe or to pre-assigned housing. God has provided so much in these trips. We have connections in Porto who are identifying Ukrainians that need to be picked up. We have connections with churches that will provide us with both food and accommodations to and from the Ukraine border. Beyond that, there are churches throughout Europe who have seen what we are doing and want to help us in our efforts by joining us on the road, providing their own vans and drivers.
Long-Term Help.
These trips are just part of what we are doing. We are also sending out two of our church leaders to stay on the Poland/Ukraine border for a couple of weeks to better facilitate trips and to help house people who are fleeing the war. Along with this, we are also helping to aid families who have been placed near us. Money donated goes to cover costs of vans, fuel and tolls, supplies, physical needs of those fleeing, and more.
